1980

A connection with tradition

BOTTICELLA was born in 1980, thanks to the competence and enthusiasm of Don Diego Maggio, who chose one of the highest areas of the Marsalese territory, Contrada Digerbato, rich in the history of peasant culture, as the company's headquarters.

2002

As the years passed, Don Diego's attention, gradually supported by his son-in-law Giovanni, focused on the diversification of the land to be acquired and the grapes to be cultivated, favoring the proximity to the sea and some peculiar characteristics of the land, with a view to the best yield of the grapes. New plantings of Syrah, Inzolia, Catarratto, Nero D'Avola and Chardonnay are created to integrate the legendary Grillo which has continued to give splendid sensations for over 60 years.

2017

Since 2002, with the gradual enthusiastic support of children and grandchildren, the time has come for Botticella to modernize the cellar with new investments and new equipment, all aimed at giving an organic imprint to our work, without the use of chemical substances and for keep the indelible flavors of tradition intact.

Mission

The promotion of the territory with full respect for the environment, enhancing the raw material with a careful selection of the grapes and constant attention to the work in the cellar.
